Private and public profiles

Member profiles are private by default. A member may deliberately publish a limited public profile that search engines can index, and may turn it off later. Public profiles never include approximate distance, activity status, CRUZING Now status, CRUZES, messages, blocks, reports, private albums or live location signals.

Choosing public can help more guys find your page. It also means search engines and outside services may copy, cache, or keep the page after you turn public visibility off. CRUZD can remove the live page but cannot promise that every outside copy disappears immediately.

Private-album access is person-specific, expires after 24 hours by default, and can be revoked immediately. Blocking revokes active album access. Access never grants permission to copy, record, or redistribute media.

Photos sent in Messages use random private identifiers, never descriptive public slugs. CRUZD removes embedded location metadata, holds new photos for review, and makes sensitive photos tap-to-reveal. Ordinary message photos expire after 30 days. Rejected uploads are removed after a short safety window. A reported image may be preserved for up to 90 days for review, or longer when the law requires it.

What we collect

For account access, we receive the email you verify and an internal account identifier. Google sign-in is optional. If you use it, CRUZD does not request your Google photo, contacts, location, or profile details. Email sign-in uses a one-time link instead of a password.

We process the profile details, photos, tags, availability, messages, CRUZES, album permissions, approximate location, settings, reports, blocks, membership status, device sessions, policy acceptance, and support messages you create through the service.

We also receive basic technical information needed to operate and protect CRUZD, such as IP address, browser or device information, request times, security events, and limited performance data. Cloudflare provides network security and Turnstile bot checks. Our hosting, database, storage, email, and authentication providers process information only as needed to provide their services.

How we use it

We use information to sign you in, show nearby members, deliver messages and account email, maintain your settings, operate membership features, stop spam and abuse, investigate reports, improve performance, and meet legal obligations.

CRUZD does not sell your private profile, messages, precise whereabouts, sexual interests, or private photos. If that business model ever changed, it would require clear notice and any consent required by law. We do not use private messages or albums to sell targeted advertising.

Membership and payment information

When paid membership opens, a trusted payment provider will handle your card or other payment details. CRUZD should never need your complete card number or security code. We may receive a transaction number, payment status, card brand and last four digits, billing country, renewal date, and the details needed to send a receipt, fix a billing problem, prevent fraud, or help you.

We keep a record of what you agreed to when you subscribed, along with renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment disputes. If you question a charge, we may share limited transaction, cancellation, and relevant Plus-use records with the payment provider and card network so they can review it.

Location, cookies and sessions

Nearby needs location, but other members see only approximate distance and a broad area. CRUZD does not show exact coordinates. You can clear location and leave nearby results.

CRUZD uses essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember necessary preferences, protect forms, and avoid repeatedly showing dismissed install prompts. Essential cookies are required for the service to work. We will ask before using optional advertising or cross-site tracking cookies if we add them.

A sign-in creates a session for that browser or device. You can review sessions and sign out. Signing out one device does not automatically sign out every other device unless you choose Sign Out All Devices.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile, keep it hidden, change public visibility, clear location, revoke album access, block or report someone, change notifications, deactivate your presence, request a copy of your account data, or delete your account.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of personal information and to receive equal service when you use those rights. CRUZD does not sell personal information as that term is commonly defined. Send requests to support@cruzd.app. We may need to verify that the account is yours before acting.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to operate CRUZD, protect members, resolve reports, prevent repeat abuse, comply with law, and maintain legitimate business records. Deleted information may remain for a limited time in protected backups or where retention is legally required.

We use access controls, encrypted connections, protected session cookies, one-time sign-in links, rate limits, and automated abuse checks. No website or storage system can promise perfect security. If a serious incident affects you, CRUZD will provide notice when required by law.
